The Guadalquivir is the only great navigable river in Spain, from its mouth near Cadiz to Seville. It borders the Donana National Park. Fed by rainwater in winter and by the melting snows of the Sierra Nevada in summer, the river maintains a considerable regular flow rate throughout the year.
