Amadeus Announces An Imperial Addition

27th November 2018

As river cruise fleets all over Europe continue to grow in line with burgeoning interest for this kind of holiday, Amadeus River Cruises has announced the name of their 16th ship, due to be launched in the spring of 2020. Joining one of the most luxurious collections of river vessels in the world, the new ship will be named Amadeus Imperial and will continue the precedent set by Amadeus Silver, Silver II and Silver III.

Whilst the design and feel will be very similar to these three fantastic sisters, efforts have been made to create a unique and exciting welcome area for guests to enjoy as they step on board for the first time. Creating an amazing first impression, the elaborate entrance will blend traditional and modern design aspects and make passengers feel immediately at home.

Following on from other members of the fleet, Amadeus Imperial will have a great selection of cabins that boast moving panoramic windows that can be lowered into place to form a balcony. There will be 72 cabins and 12 suites in total, all with amenities such as an infotainment system, flat screen television, telephone and adjustable air-conditioning as standard.

When the ship makes her debut, in April 2020, she will offer a number of itineraries along the Rhine, Main and Danube Rivers and into the Dutch and Belgian Waterways. Further details are due to be released at the start of next year, so watch this space.

Polishing A Diamond

Amadeus Diamond Exterior

More news comes from Amadeus River Cruises in the form of Amadeus Diamond’s upcoming renovation. The ship has now finished sailing for 2018 and will enter dry dock for four months to receive a number of cosmetic and, excitingly, technological enhancements.

As well as new furnishings and a lick of paint in the public areas and private cabins, smart TVs and touchscreen information screens will be installed around the ship. The upgrades mean that guests will have internet-connected TVs in their cabins and will also have access to faster, more reliable Wi-Fi. The touchscreens will offer information regarding your surroundings, detailing points of interest on the river banks and giving out other details about the cruise.

If you would like to be one of the first people to sail on board the new and improved Amadeus Diamond, there are savings to be had if you act fast. Book before 30th November 2018 and you’ll bag a 15% early bird discount. Cabins start from £1,199pp so call us today on 0800 954 0064 to secure yours.
